ReplyDeleteNeha - The base of the paper lamp is also made of newspaper.... amazing isn't it? It looks like made of stone or granite.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely concept!! Doesnt look one bit like a garage sale... Fabulous!! Wish there'd be something like this here in Dubai as well... May be I should initiate.. :-) What say??
ReplyDeleteChox - small world indeed! I did see Poornima with her daughter and her sister at the stall on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteSharkara - Sure, go ahead and use it. Would appreciate a link back though :)
Patty - It was a mix of Garage Sale with people selling their old but gently used stuff and organizations or small businesses which reuse and recycle stuff to make products. Hence a nice and healthy combo of both kinds.
ReplyDeleteYeah! You should do that. That would be fun :)

ReplyDeleteHey, Simran!
ReplyDeleteThe elephant is from Belaku Trust, an NGO with phenomenal scarves and stoles and paper products. I used to help out with them once upon a time and think they do phenomenal work - this is a livelihood project for women in Kanakapura district. Great to see their products here and the nice comments! :-D
Now that you told me I remember seeing them at other fairs and exhibitions also Sangi. I love their work too.Infact, I had got a t shirt with an auto hand painted on it, from them for my son. Will update the post with this detail :) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea! Way to go Anu!!
